Background and Objectives<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Youth Dream Centre Sierra Leone (YDC-SL) is an indigenous voluntary non-governmental organisation that has existed since 2007. YDC-SL works to promote education amongst disadvantaged youth, women and children by conducting free <\/em>non-formal education programmes for those youths interested in going back to school and\/or interested in pursuing further vocational trainings. The foundation of the organisation is building skills changes lives and therefore YDC-SL aims to provide youth with a safe place to learn and study productively free of cost. We believe that the promotion of education plays an important role in the national development in Sierra Leone, especially among marginalized and dropout youth who face challenges of unemployment, teenage pregnancy and poverty. YDC-SL currently operates in Freetown, Makeni and\u00a0 Kono district, as well as under-going capacity building within all units of the organisation. The strategic services provided by YDC-SL are; Non-Formal Education, Technical Vocational Skills Training and Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Media Training \u2013 all services provided free of cost.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

We prioritize Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) as a fundamental human right, ensuring all individuals make autonomous decisions about their bodies, sexual lives, and reproduction, free from coercion, discrimination and violence.<\/b><\/p>
